Oh Vera Wang. You know how to make a wedding dress, that’s for sure. Though her Fall 2012 collection had some interesting concepts, I’m sad to say that this collection wasn’t a success for me. It seems as if her wedding dress knowledge doesn’t translate into her RTW collections. I have to admit, there was some awesome use of texture, but the wearable factor was WAY down. The sheer chiffon dresses were just too risque. She had some great pieces, like those awesome flare leg trousers, and the hooded coat, and the color palate, though a little bland, was done in great fabrics. However, this did not make the collection as a whole very successful. I am hoping that next season will be better for Wang. I think she has a lot to offer and a faithful audience to offer it to.
